ARES masters and Specialization courses offer you the opportunity to follow a master of one year or a refresher course between 4 and 6 months in an institution of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels, Belgium.

The ARES International Training Scholarships are designed for professionals from developing countries who already hold higher‑education qualifications and have relevant work experience. Around 100 scholarships are available across 10 specialized programmes in Belgium, covering specialized Bachelor’s, Master’s, and continuing‑education training.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be permanent residents and working in one of 32 eligible partner countries (e.g., Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, Haiti, etc.).
- Hold a graduate degree earned no more than 20 years prior to programme start (extensions allowed for childbirth/adoption).
- Have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Apply for only one programme.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the programme’s language of instruction (basic French recommended for daily life).
How Are Scholars Selected
- Based on academic qualifications, professional experience, and clear connection between current work, chosen programme, and future impact.
- Strong applications show how Belgian training will directly improve professional practice and development outcomes in the applicant’s home country.

How Many Scholars
- Approximately 100 scholarships awarded.
What is the Benefit of the Scholarship
- Tuition and registration fees.
- Living/subsistence allowance.
- International travel expenses.

- Visa‑related costs (for Bachelor’s/Master’s).

How Long Will the Scholarship Last
- Bachelor’s & Master’s: up to 12 months.
- Continuing training: up to 6 months.
