Tell Me About Award: The AIRBRUSH residency program is a 2-month residency which admits 3 visual artists per cohort and takes place at the Brush Tu collective’s studio space in Buruburu- Nairobi, Kenya.

The word “AIRBRUSH” is an acronym coined from “Artist In Residency at Brush Tu”. The 2023 residency is designed to advance the participating visual artists’ practice and grow the reach of their audience. It will admit 2 cohorts of residents from the East African region each running for a period of 2 months between August and December 2023.

AIRBRUSH is supported by a grant from Ignite Culture: ACP-EU Culture Program (Eastern Africa). This fund is being implemented by HEVA, in partnership with the British Council Kenya with the financial contribution of the European Union, and with further support from the Organization of ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific) States. It is part of the global ACP-EU Culture Program.

Where will Award be Taken? Buruburu – Nairobi, Kenya.

How Many Awards? The residency will admit 3 visual artists for a period 2 months per cohort.
