JOB OVERVIEW

ECD Centre Intern will assist ECD centres with administrative compliance and child minding activities.ECD Intern Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the NYS Project Co-ordinate with the general administration, compliance and management of the ECD Centre interns in respect of the NYS Grant.

AREAS: Swartland (Malmesbury), Cross Roads (Old & New), Saldanha Bay Municipality, Eersterivier, Great Grassy Park, Kensington, Drakenstein, Stellenbosch, Phillipi, Strandfontein, Samora Machel, Langa, Gugulethu, Mitchell’s Plain, Athlone, Khayelitsha, Kraaifontein, Nyanga, Lavender Hill, Atlantis

SELECTION CRITIERA

  • Be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 34 years old
  • Live within walking distance of the ECD centre at which they will placed
  • Have an interest in ECD as a possible career
  • Have passed matric or Grade 10 in the case of applicants that have attended any school of skills
  • Not have their name appear in Part B of the National Child Protection Register

DURATION

6 months

STIPEND: 1 484,16 per month – 16 hours per week

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE

  • 2 880 – ECD Centre Interns
  • 120 – ECD Intern Supervisors
