The French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) Fellowship Programme, part of the RFIEA network, offers 10‑month fellowships across seven institutes in France: Aix‑Marseille, Cergy, Loire Valley (Orléans‑Tours), Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes, and Paris. For the 2027–2028 academic year, 29 grants are available.
The fellowship supports innovative research projects in the social sciences and humanities (SSH), as well as interdisciplinary projects involving other sciences or the arts that engage meaningfully with SSH.

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Hold a PhD + 2 years of research experience (PhD training period not counted).
- Be researchers of any nationality.
- Have spent no more than 12 months in France during the three years prior to the deadline.
- Artists are now also required to hold a PhD.
