Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships for International Students 2018/2019- UK

Newcastle University is pleased to offer 14 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply to commence full-time undergraduate studies. There are 12 50% tuition fee scholarships and 2 100% scholarships.

  • Undergraduate –  All undergraduate degrees including integrated Masters

About the Award: Newcastle University offers partial and full scholarship awards to encourage well-qualified graduates assessed as international for fees purposes to undertake taught postgraduate and undergraduate study.   Each award is worth half or full tuition for one year payable to the student’s tuition fee account.

Eligibility Criteria: 

50% tuition fees: To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must:

  • be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India, Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria and Morocco
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2018/19 academic year

100% tuition fees: To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:

  • be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2018/19 academic year

Selection Criteria: Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.

Number of Scholarships: 14

Value of Scholarship: 50% or 100% of tuition fees

Duration of Program: 1 year

How to Apply: Academic offer holders on an eligible course who have been assessed as international for fees purposes will be invited to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship.  Details of how to apply will be emailed within 10 working days of an academic offer being made.
