The Eastern Mediterranean University Scholarship provides financial support to both international students and citizens of Turkey/TRNC enrolling in Master’s and PhD programmes. It is designed to attract academically talented students and support them with either full or partial tuition coverage, alongside opportunities for research assistantship roles.

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be enrolling in their programme for the first time (re‑enrolled or dismissed students are not eligible).
- Hold a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 from undergraduate studies.
- Alternatively, hold a CGPA of 2.75–2.99/4.00 plus an ALES score ≥ 65 (for Turkish citizens).
- Or hold a minimum CGPA of 3.50/4.00 from a Master’s programme (for PhD applicants).
- Apply during the official online programme application periods (Fall or Spring).
How are Applicants Selected?
- Departments rank applicants based on CGPA and departmental assessment criteria.
- Shortlisted candidates are announced in the Scholarship Calendar.
- Candidates must complete registration by the given deadline; extensions may be granted for compelling reasons (visa, transport issues).
- Scholarships are cancelled if students re‑apply after terminating registration or commit disciplinary offenses.

How Many Awards?

What is the Benefit of the Award?
- 100% tuition coverage for PhD (international + TR/TRNC students).
- 100% tuition coverage for Master’s (TR/TRNC students).
- 50% tuition coverage for Master’s (international students).
- Category E Research Assistantship (for 100% scholarship holders):
- Work 6 hours/week in academic or administrative units.
- Part‑time assistantship option for 50% scholarship holders.
How Long Will the Award Last?
- 3 semesters for non‑thesis Master’s.
- 4 semesters for thesis‑based Master’s.
- 10 semesters for PhD.
- Scholarships reduce by half if graduation is delayed beyond the stipulated period.
