How are Entries Evaluated?
Entries undergo an administrative check, anti-plagiarism screening, and independent scoring by a panel of judges based on specific category rubrics:
- Secondary School Category Rubric: Originality & creativity (30%), Understanding of pensions/retirement planning (25%), Relevance to topic (20%), Organisation & clarity (15%), and Grammar & writing quality (10%).
- Tertiary & NYSC Category Rubric: Research & understanding (25%), Critical thinking (25%), Practical recommendations (20%), Innovation/originality (15%), and Structure & writing quality (15%).
- Note on AI: Essays substantially generated or rewritten by generative AI are strictly prohibited. Shortlisted entrants may undergo oral verification of authorship.
