Applications for the 2026 scholarship program for Nigerian undergraduate students are now being accepted by the Kunle Ade Wahab Educational Foundation (KAWEF). Ten chosen students from Ikorodu areas who are enrolled in qualified courses at particular Nigerian universities will receive full educational support thanks to the scholarship.

The Professor Kunle Ade Wahab Educational Foundation (KAWEF) Scholarship is an annual fully funded educational support program established by Emeritus Prof. Kunle Ade Wahab (OFR, OON), an Emeritus Professor of Building at Obafemi Awolowo University and former Special Adviser to the President on Due Process. The foundation offers comprehensive financial support to select undergraduate students originating from Ikorodu communities who are pursuing specific environmental and built-environment courses.

Applicants must be studying one of the following core professional courses:

  • Architecture
  • Building Technology
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Estate Management

  • Citizenship & Origin: Must be a citizen of Nigeria, a citizen of Lagos State, and an indigene of the Ikorodu Division (covering Ikorodu Central, Ikorodu North, Ikorodu West, Igbogbo-Baiyeku, Ijede, and Imota).
  • Academic Standing: Must be a registered full-time undergraduate student in Years 3, 4, or 5 at a government-recognized university.
  • Eligible Institutions: Must be enrolled in one of the following designated universities:
    • Lagos State University (LASU)
    • Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)
    • Caleb University
    • Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu and Ijanikin
