RWTH International Academy: Women in Engineering Scholarship was created to enable for more qualified female engineering students to pursue a Master’s degree programme and establish gender equality among students of English-language Master’s degree programmes at RWTH International Academy.

The Women in Engineering Scholarship at RWTH International Academy supports highly qualified female engineering graduates pursuing selected English‑taught Master’s programmes. It aims to promote gender equality in engineering education by reducing tuition fees for outstanding female students.

  • MSc Management & Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering

  • MSc Textile Engineering
  • MSc Resilient Civil Engineering
  • MSc Battery Systems Engineering

Who Can Apply

Applicants must:

  • Be female engineering graduates with excellent academic performance.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA equivalent to 2.0 or better on the German scale.
  • Be admitted to one of the eligible RWTH International Academy Master’s programmes.

How Long Will the Scholarship Last

  • Up to 24 months (duration of the Master’s programme).

Required Documents

  • Master’s programme application (via RWTH portal).
  • 500‑word motivation letter explaining academic readiness, specialization choice, financial impact, and contribution to women’s participation in engineering.
  • Bachelor’s certificate, transcript, CV, passport, and English‑language qualification (programme‑specific).

How to Apply

  1. Select one of the eligible Master’s programmes.
  2. Prepare all required documents, including the 500‑word motivation letter.
  3. Submit your Master’s application and scholarship request together via the RWTH portal.
  4. Ensure submission by 1 March 2027 (non‑EU) or 15 July 2027 (EU).
