The St Leonard’s College World‑Leading Doctoral Scholarships are among the most prestigious awards at the University of St Andrews. Funded by the Graduate School, they support exceptional doctoral students whose research contributes to the University’s world‑leading strategic themes. Up to six full scholarships are available.

Applicants must:

  • Not already hold or be matriculated for a doctoral degree.
  • Start their programme in August, September, October 2027 or January/May 2028.
  • Demonstrate academic merit through transcripts, CV, and research proposal.
