The Getty Conservation Guest Scholars Program, hosted by the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), offers established professionals in cultural heritage conservation a three‑month residency at the Getty Center or Getty Villa in Los Angeles. Scholars pursue independent research projects, access Getty’s collections and resources, and participate in the intellectual life of the Getty community.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Have at least seven years of professional experience in conservation or preservation.
- Possess an established record of publications and contributions to the field.
- Be of any nationality.
- Submit an original project proposal aligned with conservation practice.
- Not be current Getty staff or immediate family.
- Not propose postdoctoral or PhD‑related research (recent PhDs should apply to the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Conservation Science).
