AGFUND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME is a six-month pilot programme supporting Diana Award Recipients across Africa to strengthen, sustain and scale their social action work.


It combines expert-led learning, peer collaboration, and tailored development support to help young changemakers expand the impact of their social action projects.

The AGFUND Development Programme, delivered in partnership with The Diana Award, is a six‑month pilot initiative supporting Diana Award Recipients across Africa. It equips young changemakers with practical leadership skills, peer collaboration, and tailored development support to strengthen, sustain, and scale their social action projects.

  • Be committed to strengthening, sustaining, or growing their impact.
  • Be able to commit to the full six‑month virtual programme.

How Are Applicants Selected?

Selection is based on:

  • Eligibility (age, Diana Award status, Africa residency).
  • Motivation and commitment to social action.
  • Fit with programme objectives.
  • Availability for the six‑month duration.

Which Countries Are Eligible?

  • All African countries (for Diana Award Recipients).

Where is the Programme Taken?

  • Virtual (online sessions across Africa).

How Many Participants?

  • Up to 25 participants selected for Cohort 1.
  • A second cohort expected in January 2027.
