The Africa CDC is inviting expressions of interest for membership of the Continental Immunisation Advisory Council (CIAC) 2026–2028. The deadline to apply is 21 July 2026. This high-level advisory platform will help accelerate delivery of the Continental Immunisation Strategy 2026–2030 across Africa.
The program targets distinguished African leaders, experts, and advocates. Successful members will provide strategic advice, champion immunisation priorities, and support implementation and financing efforts across the continent.

The Africa CDC Continental Immunisation Advisory Council (CIAC) is a high‑level strategic advisory platform established to accelerate the Continental Immunisation Strategy 2026–2030 (CIS). It positions immunisation as a foundational pillar of primary health care, health security, equity, and sustainable development across Africa.
Members will serve as senior advisors, advocates, and accelerators, helping the Africa CDC identify opportunities, risks, and bottlenecks in immunisation systems, while championing sustainable financing, equity, and accountability.
Which Fields are Eligible?
The Africa CDC seeks leaders and experts with recognised influence in the following:
- Political & Policy Leadership – parliamentary, diplomatic, or policy influence.
- Public Health & Immunisation – vaccine policy, outbreak prevention, zero‑dose populations.
- Health Financing – resource mobilisation, budgeting, sustainable financing.
- Community Engagement – civil society, demand generation, gender equity, and youth engagement.
- Implementation Experience – fragile, conflict‑affected, humanitarian, or underserved contexts.
