Which Fields are Eligible?

Doctoral Scholarship Types:
- First Phase Scholarship
- Covers two semesters of coursework.
- Eligibility: admitted students with financial need, no other scholarships.
- Second Phase Scholarship

- Eligibility: GPA ≥ 3.5 in first‑phase courses.
- Third Phase Scholarship
- Covers two academic years (dissertation writing).
- Eligibility: completion of prospectus phase + passing comprehensive exam.
- Extension possible with approval.
Conditions:
- Cannot combine with other scholarships (without approval).
- Full scholarship holders must work at the Institute (research/teaching) ≥10 hours/week.
- Partial scholarship holders: ≤15 hours/week proportional to award.
Master’s Scholarships – Tamim Scholarship:
- Tamim Scholarship supports outstanding master’s students.
Benefits by Category:
- Qatari students: 100% tuition waiver (if not sponsored).
- Resident students: 10%–100% tuition waiver (based on financial need).
- International students:
- Full tuition waiver.
- Student housing.

Conditions:
- Cannot combine with other scholarships.
- Continuation depends on maintaining academic standing.
- Not available for Executive Master’s, diplomas, or certificate programs.
- Students who previously received a master’s scholarship at the Institute are not eligible.
