The World Health Organization (WHO) is inviting organizations to submit expressions of interest to serve on the WHO Youth Council for the 2026–2028 term. The application deadline is 23:59 CEST, 30 June 2026. This opportunity gives youth organizations a platform to help inform WHO health policies and strategies.
The Council supports youth engagement in global health. In addition, it promotes public health advocacy and strengthens youth contributions to health systems through advocacy and innovative initiatives.

About this Program
The WHO Youth Council provides a formal platform for youth engagement within WHO. Through this body, selected organizations contribute the insights and expertise of young people to shape health policies and strategies.
Members also help amplify youth voices in public health. Furthermore, the Council supports WHO efforts to strengthen youth contributions to health systems through advocacy and innovative action.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations are invited to submit expressions of interest.
- Applicants must be members of the WHO Civil Society Commission, or they must submit an application to the Commission.
- If needed, the Civil Society Commission application should be submitted before the expression of interest is considered.
What Fellows Receive: Opportunity to serve on the WHO Youth Council for the 2026–2028 term, influence WHO health policy and strategy, participate in Council meetings, and contribute to global public health advocacy.
