The Matthew Okpebholo Foundation Scholarship is an annual programme established by Rt. Rev. Dr. Matthew Okpebholo JP to support indigent students of Edo State origin.
Now in its 30th-anniversary edition, the scholarship awards ₦100,000 each to 1,000 final-year students at Nigerian universities and polytechnics.
The initiative is part of Bishop Okpebholo’s broader legacy of giving, which includes education, healthcare, infrastructure, and community outreach.

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be indigent students of Edo State origin.

- Sit for the compulsory online Scholastic Aptitude Test.
- Note: The award is non-political and non-religious.
How are Candidates Selected?
- Based on eligibility, academic standing, and performance in the Scholastic Aptitude Test.
