About the Grant

The African EdTech Initiative (AEI) is a three-year research programme funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). It is implemented by Education Sub Saharan Africa (ESSA), EdTech Hub, and the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA). The grant seeks to empower local research organisations to work closely with Ministries of Education. As a result, successful applicants will help shape EdTech strategies that benefit foundational learning for all learners in their country.
