Queen Mary University of London is delighted to offer Global Talent Scholarships worth £5,000 for highly qualified postgraduate taught offer holders joining us in September 2027. The Scholarship is available to all international students with an offer for an eligible programme, regardless of nationality, who meet the following criteria:
Application Deadline:
There is no separate scholarship application or deadline. For most Queen Mary undergraduate courses, the general equal-consideration UCAS deadline is 13 January 2027 at 18:00 UK time.

The Queen Mary Global Talent Scholarship 2027 is a tuition-fee scholarship for highly qualified international undergraduate students joining Queen Mary University of London in the 2027/28 academic year.
Eligible students are considered automatically based on their final academic results. There is no separate scholarship application or registration process.
Which Fields are Eligible?
The scholarship is available across eligible undergraduate programmes at Queen Mary University of London.
The following programmes are specifically excluded:
- BSc Accountancy
- LLB English and French Law
- BDS Dentistry
- BSc Dental Therapy and Hygiene
- MBBS Medicine
- MBBS Medicine Malta
- Degree Apprenticeships
- Foundation programmes
- Study Abroad and Exchange programmes
- Year-two/advanced entry across undergraduate programmes
Senior Status LLB offer holders with a first-class degree or equivalent can be considered.

Applicants must:
- Be an international student with Overseas fee status.
- Hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate programme for September 2027.
- Be applying for a full-time programme.
- Meet the required Global Talent academic threshold by exceeding their course offer.
- Be fully self-funded.
- Enrol at Queen Mary during the 2027/28 academic year.
- Maintain Overseas fee status throughout the programme.
- Not receive another Queen Mary scholarship or tuition-fee discount.
- Not receive a full-fee scholarship from another source.

Equivalent overseas qualifications may also be considered.
Students applying for advanced entry into the second year or transferring from another university are not eligible. Students progressing from a recognised International Year One programme will need to meet the scholarship criteria.
How Are Applicants Selected?
The scholarship is awarded automatically to eligible international students who meet the published criteria.
There is:
- No separate scholarship application.
- No scholarship registration process.
- No scholarship interview.
The scholarship is confirmed when the student’s admissions status becomes unconditional firm (UF) and they enrol at Queen Mary.

What Is the Benefit of the Award?
The scholarship provides a £5,000 tuition-fee reduction per academic year.
It can provide up to £20,000 over a standard four-year degree.
The first £5,000 is deducted from tuition fees when the student enrols in the first year.
The scholarship does not cover:
- Accommodation
- Food
- Transport
- Visa costs
- Immigration Health Surcharge
- The remaining tuition fees
Students must be able to finance the remainder of their tuition and living expenses.
How Long Will the Award Last?
The scholarship is renewable each year, subject to achieving an average of 65% or above in academic results.
The maximum stated value is £20,000 over a standard four-year degree.
The scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year of study and is only available to students who apply and enrol for the 2027/28 academic year.

Scholarship offers are made by the Admissions Office at the point of offer, and recipients are notified through their applicant portal.
