Full Fee Waiver Scholarships

The University offers a number of full tuition fee waiver scholarships to you if you are an exceptionally well-qualified student. Please note that this covers tuition fees only, not living expenses or accommodation.

Amount:         Full tuition fee waivers.

Eligibility:       You must hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Criteria:          Academic excellence, financial need and development case (if you are applying from a developing country).

Half Fee Waiver Scholarships

The University offers a number of half tuition fee waiver scholarships to you if you are an exceptionally well-qualified student.

Amount:         Half tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:       You must hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Criteria:          Academic excellence and financial need. You must have some knowledge and experience of the UK public relations sector.

MBA Scholarships

Westminster Business School’s MBA is accredited by The Association of MBAs – which proves the high quality of our programme and gives our students access to the (AMBA) resources including alumni and career development.

Amount:              Up to 100 per cent tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:           You must hold an offer for the full-time MBA degree at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, career progression and financial need.

Part Fee Waiver Scholarships

The University offers a number of part (£2,000) tuition fee waiver scholarships to you if you are an exceptionally well-qualified international student.

Amount:              Half tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:           You must hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence and financial need. You must have some knowledge and experience of the UK public relations sector.

Westminster Business School (WBS) Part-Time Scholarships

Westminster Business School is one of London’s leading centres for business education.

Amount:              Up to 100 per cent tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:           You must hold an offer for any full-time Masters degree, excluding the MBA, within Westminster Business School at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence and/or evidence of excellence in previous employment, business and community services.

Westminster International Scholarships

These generous awards are aimed at fully funding you if you are from a developing country and will study a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential. Preference will be given to junior faculty members of our partner Universities in Vietnam.

Sylvia Pankhurst Scholarship

With the participation and permission of the Pankhurst family, and in association with the Jethro Institute for Good Governance, this scholarship is available to students from Ethiopia. While Ms. Pankhurst’s work as a suffragette is well known, less well known is her work in Ethiopia, where she raised awareness of Mussolini’s atrocities in that country and helped to found the first teaching hospital in Ethiopia.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be a student from Ethiopia and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree in at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential.

Tourism Management MA Scholarship

The tourism industry is one of the few global industries forecast to grow in the long term. This well-established and recently updated course will give you the knowledge, analytical abilities and skills you need in developing tourism in your region.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be student from a developing country and hold an offer for the full-time Tourism Management MA at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

African Prisons Project Scholarship

In partnership with the African Prisons Project, the aim of these scholarships is to encourage prison reform in Africa. These scholarships are for members of prison staff from an African country.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           This is a ‘closed’ scholarship in conjunction with the African Prisons Project.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential.

Colin Matheson Scholarship

Colin Matheson has dedicated over 30 years of loyal service to the University of Westminster, with one of his most significant achievements being the establishment of the University’s Scholarship scheme, which is the largest of its kind in the UK. Before his retirement in 2012, he spent over a decade as Director of Scholarships, helping thousands of students from all over the world achieve their goal of studying in the UK.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are a joint initiative between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (with funding from DFID) and UK universities, to support scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK. Disaster Regeneration Scholarship

The Disaster Regeneration Scholarship is open to you if you are an international student from a developing country/region affected by a recent natural or man-made disaster. The intention of this scholarship is to aid in the regeneration of the affected country/region and you must make the case for how your chosen course will facilitate in this regeneration.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be an international student from a disaster struck developing country or region and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University. You must intend to return home on completion of the course.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential.

Fashion Business Management MA Scholarship

The Fashion Business Management course continues the University’s fashion tradition of a commitment to excellence in developing highly effective, talented and committed professional fashion graduates.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be an international student and hold an offer for the full-time Fashion Business Management MA at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

Geoff Marsh Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of Geoff Marsh, one of the pioneers of housing research in the UK and a Visiting Professor at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment . The funds for the living costs for the scholar have been raised by friends and colleagues of the late Professor Marsh.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses, flights to and from London and and a salaried one-year work placement at Investment Property Databank on successful completion of your course (subject to a successful interview at the company and visa conditions).

Eligibility:           You must be from India and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University for one of the following courses: Facilities and Property Management MSc, Property Finance MSc, Real Estate Development MSc, Urban and Regional Planning MA, International Business Economics MSc, International Finance MSc, Applied Economics MSc or Investment and Risk Finance MSc.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, development potential, financial need, and interest in a career in real estate.

Geoffrey Copland Scholarship

Dr Geoffrey Copland retired as the Vice-Chancellor in July 2007, and this scholarship is named for him in recognition of his unfailing support for the scholarships programme.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

International Students House Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded jointly with International Students House.  The house was founded for the betterment of international understanding and provides a unique social, cultural and recreational centre for international and British students alike.

 Amount:             Full tuition fee waivers, accommodation at International Students House, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

Latin American Scholarship

The Latin American Scholarship is meant to fund a student who intends to return home to assist in benefiting a developing area of Latin America.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be from Latin America and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential.

MBA Scholarships

MBI Al Jaber Foundation Scholarships

The MBI Al Jaber Foundation offers scholarships to students from across the Arab world wishing to study for a full-time Masters degree at its partner institutions, including the University of Westminster. The scholarship programme is open to you if you are an Arab resident of the Middle East and North Africa who intends to return to your country of residence and contribute to its future development.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           You must be from the Middle East and hold an offer for any full-time Masters degree, at the University of Westminster.

Media, Arts and Design Scholarship

The School of Media, Arts and Design at the University of Westminster provides courses in a variety of disciplines and formats, including Art and Design, Fashion, Television, Film and Moving Image, Journalism and Mass Communication, Music and Photography.

 Amount:             Full tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:           You must hold an offer for any full-time Masters degree in the School of Media, Arts and Design at the University.

Criteria:               Academic excellence and/or significant achievement in your chosen field.

Mongolia Scholarship

The Mongolia Scholarship is meant to fund a student who intends to return home to assist in benefiting the development of Mongolia. The scholarship is given in partnership with International Students House.

Amount:              Full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Eligibility:           This is a ‘closed’ scholarship in conjunction with the Mongolian Education Ministry.

Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential.

Open Society Foundation Scholarship

The Open Society Foundation is a charitable organisation aimed to shape public policy to promote democratic governance, human rights, and economic, legal, and social reform.

Amount:              Up to 100 per cent tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:           You must be a student from a developing country and hold an offer for the full-time Diversity and the Media MA.

Philippines Scholarship

To encourage academically excellent students from the Philippines to attend the University of Westminster, we are offering a full scholarship to a student to study a Masters programme with us.

Uganda Scholarship

In partnership with the Bright Futures Charity, this scholarship is meant to benefit a student from Uganda, who has experienced great hardship in the troubled areas of Uganda, especially the northern area of the country.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship

Our most prestigious award, this scholarship is funded by the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and is aimed at fully funding a student from a developing country to study a full-time Masters degree at the University.

The Windle Trust International co-fund two scholarships for refugees from Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, or Uganda. Windle Trust International invests in the education and training of refugees, the displaced and other communities emerging from conflict, in order to promote peaceful development in Eastern and Central Africa.
