University of Copenhagen
The University of Copenhagen is a world-class research institute that provides high standards and quality education and research across the globe. Having over 40,000 students and a staff length of u to 9,000 employees, this pinnacle of academic excellence remains a very large university of research and desired education amongst all Nordic countries. In accordance with QS World University rankings of 2016, the University of Copenhagen is the highest-ranked institution in the Nordic region while also reaching up to 20 among all universities in Europe.
This top-class university is also a functional member of many globally recognized research institutes like LERU (League of European Research Universities), IARU (International Alliance of Research Universities) and many more.
Student life
While as a student, accommodation is available for all in the student’s residence or sometimes they share apartments in Copenhagen- which is somehow more comfortable.
Academic and Social Life
During their stay on campus, students are expected to close tracks and record of their academic performances without lagging. There is a tradition for students, it is the “Friday Bar,” this is a social event usually organized by students from each department; it is an opportunity for all students and staff to socialize and get along with one another.
A Capital University
The University of Copenhagen is at the central part of Copenhagen which is the capital of Denmark. Dated back to 1167, the city has maintained its origin and sauce with a population of over 1.7 million people; the city remains safe with a very low level of pollution. Copenhagen is very diverse in cultural values and events which contribute to making the city a very livable and lovely one across the world.
An International Atmosphere
Every year, the university welcomes over 1,700 international students from all countries of the world; these international students also adds a level of cosmopolitan flavor to the campus life at UCPH. In buttress of that, the University of Copenhagen aids all students with housing, admission, student counseling, orientation programs and a lot of social events.
