  1. International Entrance Leadership Scholarship: This is one of the general undergraduate scholarships offered to international students ready to start a degree program at the institution. The university considers outstanding candidates with admission averages of 80% and above for the award.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • It’s open to international students on a study permit.
  • Applicants must have a good command of the English Language.

  1. University of Alberta Vietnam Award: The Government of Vietnam sponsors the scholarship to support their education. This is for an undergraduate student on study permits interested in pursuing a degree in the institution. But, it’s available for only the first year. For the scholarship to be renewed, the student must maintain a good GPA on the entire course load every year. This is also open to all fields of study.

The scholarship worth up to $40,000 is provided for about 4 years.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be a citizen of the beneficiary country.
  • The award is on the basis of academic merit.
  1. University of Alberta Gold Standard Scholarship: Most times, the institution provides the top 5% of students in each faculty with a scholarship award. The grant could be up to $6,000 based on admission average. Also, take note that the beneficiary will be informed of their scholarship award after they must have gotten their admission to the University.

The scholarship worth $6,000.

  1. University of Alberta-USA First Year Excellence Scholarship: This is one of the country-specific scholarship opportunities. It’s awarded to international students with outstanding academic performance in pursuit of any undergraduate degree program.

However, it’s available for the only the first year from a high institution in the USA. Meanwhile, for a student to stand a chance for the scholarship, the candidate must have finished from high school with nothing less 24 IB, AP, or A-Level credits when starting their undergraduate program at the institution.

Also, take note that the beneficiary will be informed of their scholarship award after they must have gotten their admission to the University.

A scholarship worth $10,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The student must be a citizen of the beneficial region
  • It’s base on academic merit.
  • Students on transfer are ineligible for it.

  • Interested student must be an outstanding student with leadership skills.
