Royal Holloway University of London

The Royal Holloway University of London initially began from two pioneer colleges for women which were “Royal Holloway College” and “Bedford College” founded by Elizabeth Jessie Reid and Thomas Holloway in 1886. After a few years, the colleges eventually achieved university status in 1900 then merged in 1985 to become the Royal Holloway, University of London, that we know today.

Since then, the University gradually gained a reputation worldwide for meeting the expectations of students and academics who travel from all over the world to study and work within its walls — therefore strengthening the international and multicultural values of the historic campus.

The prestigious University currently sits on a 135-acre campus, which is located in Egham, Surrey, south-west of central London.
