Robert Gordon University is a public university in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. It was established in the 18th century by Robert Gordon, an Aberdeen merchant.

Programmes for International Students

Robert Gordon University has opportunities available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses, which include full-time, on-campus international students and full fee-paying students from the rest.

RGU Undergraduate Award

The applicant must:

  • Have received an offer and selected RGU as their choice any full-time undergraduate programme.
  • Be classed by the university as an international fee paying student.
  • Must be a self-funding student.

RGU Postgraduate Award

The eligibility criteria are the same as above.

  • Be a self-funding student.

RGU Undergraduate High Achiever Scholarship

The applicant must:

  • Have received an offer and selected RGU as his/her choice for a full-time programme.
  • Holds at least, one of three A-Levels at grade A or an equivalent qualification.
  • Be classed as an international fee paying student by the university.
  • Must be a self-funding student.
  • Successful applicants will be awarded a total sum of £2000.

RGU Postgraduate High Achiever Scholarship

The eligibility criteria are the same as above.

Early Payment Award

Applicant must:

  • Have received an offer to study at the university.
  • Be a self-funding student.
  • Be classified as an international fee paying student.

RGU International Partnership Award

Applicant must:

  • Have received an offer to study at the university and have met all the requirements.
  • Be classed by the university as an international fee paying student.
  • Must be a self-funding student.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship

Applicant must:

  • Have received an offer and selected RGU as his/her choice for an undergraduate programme.
  • Be classed as an international student.
  • Hold or be expected to achieve three A levels at grade A or its equivalent.

Benefits of the Scholarship

The maximum total award is £3000 for students from an approved partnership; while £2500 are for direct entry students.

Scholarships at Robert Gordon University

There are two  Bursaries available at Robert Gordon, namely:

RGU Financial Award for Full-time on Campus Research Students

The scholarship is made available for postgraduate studies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a self-funding student foreign student.
  • Applicant must meet the standard or advertised academic entry requirements.
  • No separate applications is required; any award granted would be indicated in the admission letter.

The value of the scholarship is 280, 709 per year, paid to the successful student. £3000 is discounted towards one year of the postgraduate research tuition fee.

RGU Financial Award for Full-time on Campus Master’s Course.

The scholarship is made available to students understudying a master’s degree programme at the university.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a self-funding master’s student in the university.
  • Applicant must meet the standard or advertised academic entry.

There is no separate application required; any award granted would be indicated in the admission letter.

Benefits of the Bursary

  • The bursary is valued at 187, 140, paid to the successful student only once throughout the academic programme.
  • £2000 discount is awarded towards the master’s course tuition fee.
