Due to the exceptional educational system of Israel, many students are opting to study in the country. There are three major cities in Israel which make the country a great one. They include Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa.

1. UJA-Federation Scholarships

The Hebrew Free Loan Society is pleased to announce three scholarship programmes open to UJA-Federation of New York. The programme provides approximately $1 million to the winning candidates. The international students of Jewish origin resident in the New York are eligible.

2. Singerman/Nosseck Memorial Scholarship

The National Council of Jewish Women, Los Angeles offers the Singerman/Nosseck Memorial Scholarship to candidates who are enrolled in a trade or online course that leads to certification in a marketable skill such as massage therapy, dental assistant and certified nursing assistant. The grant is an annual amount up to $1000.

3. Melton Centre for Jewish Studies

The Melton Centre for Jewish Studies offers generous scholarships, grants and awards to undergraduate and graduate students who wish to study and acquire a certificate in Jewish Studies. The Award varies based on the course offered.

4. Ed and Dot Slade Israel Study Scholarship

The scholarship is open to students whom athletics has played an important role in their lives who wish to study in Israel. The award of the scholarship is $2000 for summer and $2,500 for a semester applicable to tuition, accommodation and travel expenses.

5. Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP)

The scholarship is a fully-funded master’s scholarship in the Swedish Institute. Applicants must apply for the institute’s master’s programme before applying for the scholarship. The scholarship covers for one or two-year master’s programme.

The benefits of the scholarship include a tuition fee, living expenses, travel grants, medical insurance and membership of some bodies.

6. Hungarian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students

The scholarship is provided by the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture to foreign students, research fellows and professors of higher institutions of some selected countries, including Israel.

The value of the scholarship varies, depending on the programme, however, it covers tuition, monthly stipends and accommodation expenses.

7. Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program

The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program is open to students from developing countries including Israel, to apply for a master’s programme. Applicants must hold an admission in the university before applying for the scholarship.

The value of the scholarship includes a tuition fee, monthly stipend, all-round trip airfare, health insurance and travel allowance.

8. Global Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship Program

The scholarship covers one-academic semester to outstanding undergraduate students from all over the world, including Israel. The applicant must be up to 18 years and have completed secondary school in the home country.

9. Scholarships in Israel for Citizens

Postdoctoral Fellowships in Nuclear Physics at Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities

The fellowship is awarded to permanent residents of Israel and the goal is to expand and enhance academic excellence in the discipline in Israel.

Eligibility Criteria

• Fellowship is offered to permanent residents of Israel.
• Applicant must hold a PhD degree in Physics, earned after March 2016 from an Israeli institution.

The scholarship award includes NIS160,000 and is awarded for one year of study.

The fellow must be dedicated entirely for the study of Nuclear Physics to enjoy this fellowship.

10. Scholarships for MSc Programmes at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel

The Hebrew University offers scholarships to some selected candidates during a competitive review of all applicants.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be graduates of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
• They must be in pursuant to the postgraduate diploma.
• Must have financial difficulties.
• Have leadership/community giveback potential.

The award covers tuition fee, accommodation, medical insurance and a monthly stipend, as well as student visa.

11. 100 Western Digital Undergraduate Financial Aid for STEM

Applications are available to applicants who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree in Israel and some selected countries.

The benefits of the award are up to 100 one-time funding ranging from $1,500 to $5000 awarded annually. This includes tuition fees, books, supplies and equipment.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be citizens of Israel, China, Philippines and few other countries and the awards can be taken in the host countries.
• He/she must be a full-time undergraduate student and a legal dependent of WD employee.

Students must meet the enrollment requirements to receive the award.
