Tell Me About The Incubator for Media Education (iMEdD) YOJO Program:

The YOJO Reporter program, offered by iMEdD, provides a unique 1- or 2-year paid placement for young journalists passionate about independent journalism. As a YOJO reporter, youโ€™ll work in Athens, Greece, producing impactful and innovative journalism. You’ll have the opportunity to cover global events, engage in field reporting, experiment with AR/VR storytelling, and develop your portfolio with a focus on video-first news content. Youโ€™ll also benefit from intensive mentorship, global network opportunities, and access to state-of-the-art media tools.

Who can Apply for the Incubator for Media Education (iMEdD) YOJO Program?

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Recent graduate of undergraduate or postgraduate studies (within the last 18 months, since October 2023) OR final-year student (all countries welcome)โ€ฏย 
  • Fluent in English (Greek is a plus but not required)โ€ฏย 
  • No newsroom experience requiredโ€”just a strong sense of curiosity and commitment to ethical, impactful journalismโ€ฏย 
  • Willingness to relocate to Athens and thrive in a dynamic newsroom environmentโ€ฏย
