Tell Me About The Incubator for Media Education (iMEdD) YOJO Program:
The YOJO Reporter program, offered by iMEdD, provides a unique 1- or 2-year paid placement for young journalists passionate about independent journalism. As a YOJO reporter, you’ll work in Athens, Greece, producing impactful and innovative journalism. You’ll have the opportunity to cover global events, engage in field reporting, experiment with AR/VR storytelling, and develop your portfolio with a focus on video-first news content. You’ll also benefit from intensive mentorship, global network opportunities, and access to state-of-the-art media tools.

Who can Apply for the Incubator for Media Education (iMEdD) YOJO Program?
The eligibility criteria include:
- Recent graduate of undergraduate or postgraduate studies (within the last 18 months, since October 2023) OR final-year student (all countries welcome)
- Fluent in English (Greek is a plus but not required)
- No newsroom experience required—just a strong sense of curiosity and commitment to ethical, impactful journalism
- Willingness to relocate to Athens and thrive in a dynamic newsroom environment
