Tell Me About The Nedbank Youth Employment Service Program:

The YES (Youth Employment Service) Program is a business-led collaboration with government to reduce unemployment by providing youth with an opportunity to develop new skills and gain meaningful workplace experience, which in turn will significantly improve their chances of finding long-term future employment.

Who can Apply for the Nedbank Youth Employment Service (Yes) Program?

The eligibility criteria include:

  • South African youth who:
  • โ€ขare between 18 and 29 years old;
  • โ€ขhave a matric qualification;
  • โ€ขare currently unemployed;
  • โ€ขare South African-born African, Coloured or Indian citizens in line with the BBBEE Act definition of โ€˜black peopleโ€™; and
  • โ€ขhave not participated in a YES Program with another organisation before.

How are Applicants Selected?

Selection will be based on eligibility requirements, availability of positions, and the ability of candidates to fulfill workplace expectations, including potential shift work and travel to and from designated Nedbank locations.
