About the Award: ACU Fellowships facilitate collaboration at a distance and the creation of valuable new partnerships between member universities in different countries. From climate action to engineering, we have a wide variety of fellowships available in 2023 across different fields for ACU member university staff. This funding is intended for virtual collaboration only and will not fund physical travel.

Fellowships
The following ACU Fellowships are available:
- 1 x Accountancy – Supported by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
- 1 x Agriculture, Forestry & Food Science – Supported by George Weston Limited.
- 1 x Canada Fellowship – Outgoing – Awarded to a staff member at a Canadian ACU member university to partner with an ACU member university outside Canada. Legacy funding by Gordon and Jean Southam.
- 1 x Canada Fellowship – Incoming – Awarded to a staff member at an ACU member university outside Canada to partner with an ACU Canadian member university. Legacy funding by Gordon and Jean Southam.
- 1 x Wighton Engineering – Only open to applicants from low and middle-income countries.
- 1 x Hong Kong Jockey Club – Outgoing – Awarded to a staff member from a Hong Kong ACU member institution to partner with an ACU member institution outside Hong Kong.
- 1 x Hong Kong Jockey Club – Incoming – Awarded to a staff member at an ACU member outside Hong Kong to partner with an ACU member institution in Hong Kong.
- 1 x Information Technology and Computer Science – Supported by the Jacky McAleer Memorial.
Fellowships which do not have a specific subject attached are tenable in the following fields:
- Education
- Health and related social sciences
- Information technology and management
- STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects
- Sustainable development
- University development and management
Type: Fellowships
Eligibility: The fellowships are primarily intended for academic and professional staff of ACU member universities. In some circumstances they can be used for collaboration between universities and the private sector – for more details of this please email [email protected]

Number of Awards: 18
Value of Award: The maximum value of each fellowship is GBP 5,000.
How to Apply:
- Be an academic or professional services staff at an ACU member university.
- Applicants must first already have or identify and approach a collaborator at an ACU member university in a country other than the one where the applicant is employed.

- Submit an application through the online application form:
