Who can apply for the Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award?
First-year students who will be enrolled in the autumn semester and who exhibit exceptional academic ability, community service, and a strong dedication to their subject of study are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The following are the eligibility requirements:
- A minimum GPA of 3.50 in high school.
- Completion of college preparatory courses, including AP or IB classes.
- Proficiency in English for non-native speakers.
- Optional standardized test scores of 28+ on the ACT or 1300+ on the SAT.
- Demonstrated leadership and active participation in community service.
This award also aligns with the interests of students aiming for the Honors Program at Simmons, offering a pathway to further recognition and academic distinction.
