Tell Me About The Internship
The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) is a 12‑week summer research program in Canada for undergraduate students from partner countries. Interns work under the supervision of Canadian faculty members at over 70 institutions, gaining hands‑on research experience across disciplines from science, engineering, and mathematics to humanities and social sciences.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be enrolled full‑time in an undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s program at an eligible institution.
- Have completed at least two years of study or be in the second year of their program.
- Have 1–3 semesters remaining as of Fall 2027.
- Meet GPA requirements for their country.
- Apply to 3–10 projects across at least three Canadian provinces.
- Be fluent in the project’s working language (English and/or French).
- Be available for 12 consecutive weeks between May 1 – October 31, 2027.
- Not have previously been awarded a Globalink Research Internship.
