University of London International Programme Law Scholarship by Distance learning for Ugandan Undergraduate students 2011-2012

The University of London will be awarding scholarships for 2011/2012 academic year to up to five outstanding students from Uganda who have the academic ability and desire to study law, but may struggle to fund their studies without a scholarship. The university international programme is offering scholarship to study for a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) by distance learning to Ugandan undergraduate students.

Scholarships Worth
There are up to five scholarships on offer for students in Uganda in the 2011/2012 academic year, covering all student registration and exam fees. All applicants have to meet the University’s minimum entry requirements for the LLB degree and be long-term residents of Uganda.

The following qualifications from Uganda meet the University’s general entrance requirements (you may also have to meet course specific entry requirements):

  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE), three principal passes with one at grade C or above and two at grade D or above.
  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE), two principal passes at grade D or above plus 3 passes at grade 1 – 4 from the Ugandan Certificate of Education.
  • All applicants are required to demonstrate a certain level of competence in English.

The distance learning method at the University of London offers students the flexibility to schedule studies around their own needs. If you have to move while you are studying, you can continue with your studies as there is no requirement to attend classes on most courses. If you are studying Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, you also have the option of attending classes at an independent teaching institution in Uganda. Multitech Business School in Kampala offers tuition support for the LLB, along with internet access and library services.
