Trent University
This is a public liberal arts university based in Peterborough, Ontario. It has a satellite campus in Oshawa. The campus serves the Regional Municipality of Durham. Trent University is famous for its Oxbridge college system with small class sizes for optimal learning.
Trent University ranks third in Canada in Maclean’s University Ranking in the Primarily Undergraduate Category for its 2020 university rankings.
According to the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) in 2016, Trent University ranked 29th among the top universities in Canada. It was ranked 884th in the world among the top 1000. This puts Trent in the top 3.6% of universities in the world. Only 32 universities in Canada could make the list.
The university also offers internet-based courses. About 70% of courses at Trent University have some form of web-based version. The university uses Blackboard as its primary LMS. A good number of course lectures are webcast for students.
Lakehead University
This is a public research university with campuses in Thunder Bay and Orillia. The university is dynamic, modern and highly learner-centred. Students will have a blend of academic excellence and opportunity with a rich variety of social and recreational activities. The university also promises students excellence in research. It hosts nine Canada Research Chairs and revolutionary facilities.
The university has more than 45,000 alumni and thousands of students from countries around the world. In 2017, international students paid tuition of about 21,000 USD. Accommodation at the university is divided into three living styles: residence halls, apartments and townhouses. There are more than 1000 beds, and at least three cafeterias or dining halls.

University of the Fraser Valley
This university has grown rapidly to become one of the largest and most recognised in Canada with a student enrollment of up to 15,000 yearly. It ranks high on a good number of courses and trains some of the most accomplished graduates in Canada.
In 2010, there was a report by The Globe and Mail Canadian University. UFV came first as the institution with the most A-Range grades of any higher institution in British Columbia. It received A-grades in quality of education, student-faculty interaction, and ease of registration.

The university’s academic activity is organized into faculties and schools. The University now has seven faculties and three schools, with the College of Arts hosting the two largest faculties. The university is also home to ten research centres and institutes. The Chilliwack Campus is the site of the new BC Center of Excellence for Agriculture. Carleton University

University of Waterloo
The University of Waterloo is a public research institution with campuses in Waterloo. The university offers academic programs via six faculties and thirteen faculty-based schools. The university also manages three satellite campuses and four affiliated university colleges. The University is also a member of the U15. U15 is a group of research-intensive universities in Canada.
The University of Waterloo is recognised for its cooperative education programs. These are programs that enable students to integrate their education with applicable work experiences. The university operates the largest post-secondary cooperate education programs in the world. At one time, it had over 20,000 undergraduate students from over 40 countries. These students were all taking cooperative education programs.
In 2016 the university had over 30,000 undergraduate and 5000 post-graduate students. The university also managed undergraduate programs in Dubai from 2009 to 2012. It also has four libraries housing nearly one and a half million books as well as databases and electronic resources. In 2018, Research Inforsource ranked the university 12th on their list of top 50 Canadian research universities.
Dalhousie University
The university offers programs that rank among the world’s top 100 and in the top 3 Canadian schools. It was the first university in Canada to set up a school for some critical courses like Law. The institution is over a century old. It is nearly one and a half centuries old. It provides experiential learning to give students a better understanding of the concepts they have learnt or developed and how to apply the knowledge and or skill in solving real-life problems. University of Guelph
The University of Guelph is a comprehensive public-funded research university located in Guelph. It was established in 1964 after the amalgamation of Ontario Agricultural College.
