Saïd Business School MBA Scholarship for Angolan Students 2018/2019 – University of Oxford, UK

The Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford is offering EY scholarships for Angolan students. 

Application Deadlines: 

  • Full-time programmes: Applications for the Oxford MBA class of 2019-20 will open 1st August 2018.
  • Part-time programmes: 22nd October 2018
  • Executive Education (one week) programmes: 31st July 2018

About the Award: The scholarships are open for students to apply fpr one of the full-time, part-time or executive education programmes.

Full-time programmes

MBA candidates who wish to apply for this scholarship should submit their MBA application by one of the MBA admissions deadlines.  Candidates who are eligible for the scholarship will then be contacted by email if their MBA application reaches interview stage. A further scholarship application will be required; details of which, including the deadline date, will be provided in the email.  All eligible offer-holders will be considered at every MBA admissions deadline, provided that all awards have not yet been allocated.

Part-time programmes

  • Oxford Diploma in Financial Strategy
  • Oxford Diploma in Global Business
  • Oxford Diploma in Organisational Leadership
  • Oxford Diploma in Strategy and Innovation

Diploma candidates who wish to be considered for these scholarships must (i) tick the EYScholarships box in the Funding section of the Diploma programme application form, and (ii) submit a scholarship essay with the programme application (to be uploaded in the Funding section), answering the following essay question:

‘What do you think is needed to enable Angola’s economic development in the next decade?  Please set out your specific plans on how you plan to lead in one or more of these areas when you return from your course.’ The maximum word count for this essay is 500 words.

A complete Diploma programme application including the scholarship essay must be submitted by a deadline of Monday 22 October 2018 in order to be considered for these scholarships.

Executive Education (one week) programmes

  • Women Transforming Leadership
  • Oxford High Performance Leadership

On these programmes the scholarship will cover the full programme fee plus the accommodation option offered per each programme.

Candidates for the Women Transforming Leadership programme who wish to be considered for these scholarships must submit a programme application by the end of July 2018. Candidates for the High Performance Leadership programme who wish to be considered for these scholarships must submit a programme application by the end of March 2018 for the May 2018 programme, and by the end of August 2018 for the November 2018 programme. All candidates must also submit a supporting scholarship essay with the programme application answering the following essay question:

‘What do you think is needed to enable Angola’s economic development in the next decade?  Please set out your specific plans on how you plan to lead in one or more of these areas when you return from your course.’ The maximum word count for this essay is 500 words.

  • To be eligible to apply for these scholarships, candidates must be ordinarily resident in Angola and must be applying to join one of the full-time, part-time or executive education programmes listed above.

Number of Awards: Not specified

Value of Award: On the MBA programme the scholarship will cover the full programme fee, a living expenses stipend (of £14,777 in 2018-19), and flights (Angola-UK/ UK-Angola) at the start and end of the programme.
