Brief description: To celebrate 10 years, Mo Ibrahim Foundation is producing a photo book titled My Africa, looking forward to the next 10 years and capturing Africans’ visions of the future of the continent.
Theme: The theme of the photograph is open to your personal interpretation but we’re looking for beautiful, inspiring and original photographs.
Entry Categories: There are three categories:
- Under 18s.
Prize: One winner will be selected from each category, with prizes of $10,000 USD awarded to each of the three winners. In the case of the under 18s winner, the prize money will be split equally between the student and his/her school.
As MIF begins its 10th anniversary celebrations/journey, all Africans are invited to take part in a photo competition.
MyAfrica is an opportunity for photographers of all abilities and ages to capture their vision of Africa through their own lenses. MIF is seeking images that capture Africa in its many diverse settings and communities, depicting what developments, challenges and opportunities could potentially look like over the next 10 years. For MIF, turning 10 isn’t only about looking back at its history – it’s also about looking ahead and thinking about Africa in the future. The collection will ultimately become part of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.

Deadline: All photographs must be submitted by 17:00 BST on Friday, 3 June 2016.
How to Enter
To submit an entry, visit Photo Submission page below, upload your photo, and fill in the online form. Entries will be judged by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation team and the winners announced on the foundation’s website and social media channels. A selection of the best photographs will be displayed in an exhibition at the 10 year celebration, and selected entries will also be displayed on the Mo Ibrahim Foundation website.
