The Heinrich Böll Foundation is inviting applications for its Tailwind for Talents scholarships for graduates and PhD students. The application windows are 15 July 2026 to 1 September 2026 for Fall 2026 and 15 January 2027 to 1 March 2027 for Spring 2027. This scholarship supports international students pursuing Master’s degrees or PhD programs in Germany.
Importantly, the foundation gives priority to applicants from DAC countries who have not yet taken up residence in Germany at the time of application. In addition, the programme is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
