Chad

The education system in Chad is patterned on the system of education of France and the teaching language is French. The schools are geared for an international student body. Students are taught in French, English, Spanish, German or Japanese languages.

In the Chadian system, a minimum average of 12 out of 20 is required for a fresh student. The equivalence of it in the US system (a B average or a 3.0 GPA) could be acceptable.

The English requirement includes:

  • An O-level in English language.
  • TOEFL (550 score).
  • A 6.5 score in IELTS.

  1. CICOPS Scholarships for Developing Counties

The scholarship is offered to students who wish to acquire a certificate in the Master’s programme. The host nationality is Italy and the recipients are Chadian and other developing country students. The scholarship benefit includes economy class travel, boarding and lodging expenses and a stipend of €150 per week.

  1. Prestige Award for Excellence in Data Science at the University of Strathclyde in UK

The scholarship is open to eligible students from Chad and other developing countries to study the Master’s programme in the University of Strathclyde. The scholarship is in recognition to academic excellence in Data Science for Policymakers. A merit-based study scholarship of £5000 is awarded to applicants onto the full-time Master’s degree in Data Science for Policymakers in the UK.

The eligibility criteria include the provision of a 300-word essay stating your ability to contribute to the field of Data Science for Policymakers.

  1. Griffith University International Distinction Scholarships in Australia

Griffith University invites application from eligible candidates for the Griffith International Distinction Study Abroad Scholarships. Students from Chad and other international countries are eligible to apply. The scholarship is open to students who wish to obtain an MSc. The worth of the award is up to the sum of $6000 for tuition: two tuition payments of $3000 for coursework and $3000 for a graduate certificate.

  1. The University of Reading Master’s Scholarships in UK

The University of Reading is offering a range of scholarships to international students through the School of Construction Management and Engineering. The application is automatically open to candidates who have received an admission offer in the school for an MSc course.

The value of the scholarship: three study abroad scholarships of £3000 each to the Chadian or international students and two £3000 for EU students.

  1. The Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership Scholarship in Canada

Ten study abroad scholarships are being offered to Master’s and advanced students from Chad and developing countries who are interested in sustainable energy development. The worth of the scholarship is $23000 per year.

  1. Fully Funded GHC International Scholarships in USA

The scholarship is funded by AnitaB.org to students enrolled in a postgraduate course in any university or college in USA.

The benefit of the scholarship is not stated, however, tuition, books and accommodation would be taken care of by the organization.

  1. ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa Scholars Programme

The scholarship programme is designed for students from the Middle East, including Chad, to study in leading US universities for Masters and postgraduate studies. The candidate must be fluent in Arabic with embedded English proficiency, have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics, possess a valid passport and showcase leadership skills.

  1. David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarships for African Students

David Oyedepo Foundation offers scholarships to study at the Covenant University and Landmark University for undergraduate studies. Full tuition fees, books, accommodation and other expenses are taken care of.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must be an African.
  • Must be between 18 and 25.
  • Is eligible to receive a Nigerian student visa.
  • Is proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Has proof of application to Covenant or Landmark University.
  1. The Catholic University of the Sacred Heart Africa Scholars

Eligible candidates are students who wish to pursue a postgraduate course at the university. The application is opened every September.

The benefits include a tuition reduction, €850 per month for rent and food, €200 per month for living costs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree with a 2.1.
  • Proof of proficiency in English.
  1. Culture Resistance Scholarships to Study in SOAS University, London

The scholarship is a postgraduate study open to students from Chad and some select African countries. The worth of the scholarship is £25,500, free accommodation at International Students House (ISH) and some food vouchers to be spent at ISH.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must hold a first class from a UK institution.
  • Candidates should describe how the political situation in their home country affects their experiences and ambitions in life in their personal information.
  • Candidates must have an offer of admission to pursue a full-time programme.
  • Candidates must meet the English language condition.

Finally, Admission and enrollment procedure varies from school to school; preference may be given to students based on nationality.
