For 2012/2013 academic year, the University of York UK will offer various foreign scholarship awards for students commencing study in October 2012. The funding will be awarded for both undergraduate, masters and PhD applicants.

The following is the tuition cost of studying at the University of York without financial aid
International fee for Undergraduate programmes- US$20,000 – 22,000
International fee for postgraduate programmes- US$18,000 – 20,000

The University of York offers scholarships in UK to overseas students coming to study at the university at various levels. The following scholarships are available to applicants who pay tuition fees at the overseas rate. These are competitive scholarships based on academic merit and financial need. You must hold an offer for academic study commencing in October 2012 to be eligible to apply.
General Eligibility
You must meet certain eligibility criteria for your application to be considered:
- You will pay tuition fees at the overseas rate (i.e. non-EU students)
- You hold either a conditional or unconditional offer for study beginning in October 2012
- You will be studying a full time programme at York (i.e. not HYMS or distance learning programmes)
- If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, your application will be automatically withdrawn.
Scholarship for Overseas Students (SOS)
This financial aid is for applicants commencing study of any subject (excluding HYMS students) at any level (undergraduate and postgraduate) as a full-time student at the University of York in the academic year 2012/2013. The scholarship is worth one-third or one-sixth of the overseas tuition fee for each year of successful study.
Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS)
This funding is for applicants commencing PhD study at the University of York in the academic year 2012/13. Students must be outstanding academically and have the support of their chosen department at York. The scholarship will pay the full overseas tuition fee and a stipend of £5,000 per year for each year of successful study. You must hold an offer for PhD study commencing in October 2012 to be eligible to apply.
Overseas Continuation Scholarship (OCS)
For current University of York Masters students who are progressing to PhD studies at the University of York in the academic year 2012/13.
The scholarship is worth £5,000 in the first year of study as a deduction from tuition fees. You must hold an offer for PhD study commencing in October 2012 and be a current University of York Masters student to be eligible to apply.
